Add a personal profile summarising who you are and what your goals are. Ideally this is customised to the job you are applying for.

If you have minimal work experience, and are still a student, put your education details before your work experience. If you have extensive work experience, then change it the other way around.

Use reverse chronological order and list your specific tasks clearly, if possible include the skills you have gained/utilized/perfected.

Make sure the format of your CV is clear. Use bold or italic to emphasise your headings – preferred length is one page.

Use power words to describe your personal skills, such as contributed, organised, negotiated, and demonstrated.
