Japan CV Sample page 2
Other skills
Japanese people value more a person that can fit well in the team than a person that can make the difference. Hence, illustrate all your experiences that point out your teamwork skills or your role while being part of a team.
Skills
Include IT and/or language or other skills that are relevant to the job you are applying for. Hobbies or interests should only be stated on particular occasions. Everything you include should add value to your application.
Driving Licence
Indicate whether you have a driving licence, as it is necessary for some employers or to your advantage.
Languages
List all your language skills, but make sure you only state those things you can definitely prove, as Japanese employers are highly likely to ask for your relevant language certificates.
References
As a foreigner you are advised to include two references, even though it is not a common practice for Japanese people (do not changing jobs is not that common under Japanese people).
Other Information
It is quite common for Japanese applicants to state in their CV reasons for wanting to join the company. The answer is quite challenging and thus, particular importance should be paid to this section. Other information to include in this section is your estimated commuting time and dependants.
