General Outline

A Portuguese CV is usually in reversed chronological order. It is quite common for CVs to be very detailed, with a maximum of three to four pages. A clear presentation is requested, numbering each section separately. If you choose to have a profile picture on the CV, it has to be professionally taken.

Personal Details

Include your personal details (name, date and place of birth, civil status, address and telephone number including the international access code). In this section you can also mention whether or not you have a driving license, as well as your ID number and even your religion.

Education and Qualifications

List previous educational institutions, including dates of attendance and locations. Do note it is important to also list courses that you have completed that can de deemed relevant for the job.

Professional training

This is a very important part in a Portuguese CV. It is a distinct category from university education. If applicable, mention professional training courses, seminars and workshops that you have attended, especially if they were a part of your work/internship training.
