Poland CV Sample page 2

Additional skills

When writing a CV for a Polish employer, it is advisable not to include skills and additional education courses that you would not be able to elaborate upon during the interview or that are not relevant for the job. Mention only relevant training and/or language courses that you completed and that are useful for the potential employer.

Language skills

In addition to speaking fluent or near fluent Polish, it is also highly advantageous for a candidate to speak a professional level of English, German and Russian. Be prepared to include certificates indicating your level of language proficiency as they are frequently requested by Polish employers.

IT skills

It is useful to mention your level of computer skills, including various software required for the job (e.g. Microsoft Office) and your level of proficiency in using that software.

Interests

An important section in a Polish CV, as it gives your potential employer a good idea of what drives and interests you as a person, is the personal interests section. The more interesting your hobbies appear to the recruiter, the higher the chance that your CV will spark an interest. Be ready that your interests will be discussed during a job interview so it is ill-advised to put extreme hobby like “sky-diving” if you wouldn’t be able to answer the questions about the sport. It is generally suggested that a max of 3-4 interests should be included on a CV with a brief description what interests you the most in a particular area.
